In the evening, there were people in evening gowns taking walks back and forth in front of the festival center, just to make themselves a photograph with the red carpet, even if they weren`t visiting any premiere at all. There are awfully lot of shops to satisfy any shopping addict. The beach is absolutely fantastic, much better than Nice (there`s actual sand!) The people are super-friendly and it`s safe, relaxing, and fun. June is a great month to go--after the film festival but before the high vacation season, it`s not that crowded (we never had to wait for tables at restaurants or to get into bars or clubs), and prices at hotels tend to be lower.
